Apiary or "Honeyhouse"
 
 


Here are some pictures of the apiary, behind the barns, near the clothesline behind the house. It is just one of the features of a self-contained homestead that date to colonial times. The beehives were on large shelves inside this building. It had not been in use for some time, but although it was in ruins, there was evidence that the Lyman School had used it. (It had been wired for electricity.) Click the link below for a view of the front door.
