Here's John P. McGrail's business card.

He had an old office on Newbury Street in Boston, in a building long since torn down. 200 Newbury St. is now a parking lot. That area is very nice now, with fine restauants and art galleries.

One important thing to remember is that in addition to running the dairy operations at the farm (with help from the Martins), he was commuting by train every day from Berlin into Boston. He retired in June, 1967, which means he commuted from Berlin to Boston for 16 years. Note the old fashioned "named" exchange for the phone number. Click the picture for a larger view. I do remember very often waiting for him with Gram (Mary F. McGrail) at the train station in Marlboro.
