Here is a letter of thanks from then-Congressman John F. Kennedy, on congressional stationery. The handwritten text at the bottom reads:
"Many thanks John, for all of your help. It made a great deal of difference and I appreciate it very much." Addressing my grandfather by name.
This was apparently for some assistance in JFK's run for the U.S. Senate in 1952.
