This is the wooden sign that stood for many years in front of the garage, near the garden. You saw it as you drove in the circular driveway. "Tir-na-nog" means "Land of the Free" in Irish Gaelic. John McGrail's parents were born in Ireland, so this was his name for the farm. It took me a while to figure out that the shape of the sign is supposed to be a book, referring to the law books which filled the library of the farm. The sign was made as a gift to Mr. McGrail by my mother, Mrs. Fe Corridan McGrail.
