Lyman School for Boys (reform school)

The farm was, from around 1902 until about 1942, a state reform school for boys, a soft name for a low-security prison.  The boys were aged from around 9 years to around 12 years.  They worked the farm and lived in the farmhouse. Someone named Delia Smith is listed as "Servant." Click the picture to zoom in.

Someone named Ira Dudley and his wife Sarah ran it.

I came across a census record for this.  The boys are, sadly, enumerated as "Prisoner".
